The live band circuit is alive and well! It’s better than ever just like the N.B.A! More talented players are on the scene and performing for all of us to see! I was able to catch up with Don and ask him a few questions about his new job as a passionate manager for the Slade Rhythm Band! Managing anything can be difficult, but that’s why you seek out people who are capable of handling the task and everything that comes with it. Think of it as managing a basketball or sports team. You have to make all those personalities fit and mesh! It’s not easy! Don is the man for the job! One day he will have stories to tell to his closest circles and they will laugh about the times he spent trying to keep the ship moving in a forward direction. You will be surprised of all the issues that come up. This will be an ongoing feature I hope to bring to all of you readers to highlight the band members managers struggles and accomplishments. We love to hear and see the finished product that these musician’s provide but we also want a closer look at the process. Check out this quick glimpse of the life as a Manager of not only a live band but a Go-Go band. Contact Don on facebook at facebook/don.napper.16 or 202.591.5767 for booking, questions and upcoming shows.
-1976- How did you become a part of the S.R.B. band?
-Don- I spoke with the owner Boo Jones on just helping as a promoter while he took a break/vacation. When he returned he asked me to be the manger and we went from there.
-1976- Do you and the band have a favorite place you like to perform?
-Don- We don’t have a favorite place. As of now our biggest venue we performed at was the Highland Entertainment Hall with the Junkyard Band .
-1976- Where can people purchase your music?
-Don- Right now we only have CD’s. We are in the process of converting our music into a digital format for downloads.
-1976- R.E., J.Y.B., B.Y.B., N.E.G. & WHAT bands have a song they are well known for what is S.R.B.’s song that y’all are well known for?
-Don- “Kings In The Building”
-1976- Do y’all have a rival band or 1 specific band that drives y’all to perform at a high level?
-Don- No, we don’t have a rival band. We have love for all bands. But when S.R.B. is on the stage it’s straight business!
-1976- Are you involved with song selections? (determining which mainstream songs to perform)
-1976- No, I’m not involved in the song selection… Boo Jones & The Band members will decide on which songs to perform.
-1976- What has been your most difficult task as the manager?
-Don- Keeping the Band Together. I believe keeping your band together is the most difficult task.
-1976- What is your favorite instrument in the band?
-Don- The Drums!
-1976- In your opinion what was the date of the y’all’s best performance?
-Don- That’s a good and tough question. I would have to go with the 6 band show we had at Babylon in Woodbridge (smh)… They was not playing that night!
-1976- What instrument is the most hardest to find a talented person to play? (the keyboard, Congo’s, drums, vocals, etc)
-Don- I would say the drummer.
STRESS FACTOR
WRITTEN BY -1976-

LIVING IN THE DISTRICT WILL HAVING YOU GOING THROUGH SO MUCH SHIT, IT SHAPES YOUR MIND INTO A CONSTANT SURVIVAL MODE INSTINCT. WHEN DOES YOUR BRAIN REST? YOU MAY FALL ASLEEP BUT YOUR MIND IS PROBABLY CYCLING THE CONSTANT EXPERIENCES YOU WALK THROUGH. WHEN THIS OCCURS YOU DEFINITELY LOSE YOURSELF, THE PERSON WHO YOU TRULY ARE. SHIT, AS OF NOW YOU CAN LOSE YOURSELF ANYWHERE! MY POINT IS THE WORLD AND LIFE EXPERIENCES WILL CHANGE YOU. IF YOU ARE A GOOD PERSON YOUR EXPERIENCES CAN AND WILL TURN YOU INTO A CARELESS SOUL. WHEN I SAY IN THE DISTRICT, YOU KNOW IT’S JUST A DIFFERENT WAY OF CONSTANT LIVING. THERE ARE SIMILAR, IDENTICAL AND WORST PLACES ALL OVER THE WORLD. IT’S NOT TO SAY THE DISTRICT IS LESS OF ANOTHER PLACE. WE ALL KNOW THE DIFFERENCE. SO, WITH THAT CONSTANT STRESS FACTOR IMPACTING YOUR BRAIN YOUR MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH BECOMES IMPACTED. IT MAY TURN YOU INTO A TUNNEL VISION LIVING MACHINE. LIKE FOR INSTANCE YOU MAY NOT WANT TO BE AROUND CERTAIN TYPES OF PEOPLE UNLESS THEY ARE ENGAGING IN THE SAME THINGS YOU LIKE TO DO, IT MAY PUSH YOU TO YOUR CHOICE OF SO CALLED SELF MEDICATION LIKE WEED, DRINKING CONSTANTLY AND OR BOTH OR EVEN WORST SOME OTHER SHIT. IT’S IMPORTANT THAT YOU SERIOUSLY EVALUATE YOURSELF, YOUR MENTAL HEALTH, YOUR PHYSICAL HEALTH ON A CONSTANT BASIS. YOU MAY BE SAVAGE (BECAUSE THAT’S THE WORD WE ARE USING) BUT THOSE SIGNS START SHOWING UP IN YOUR 30’s TO 40’s. THAT’S WAY TO SOON! THE STRESS OF LIFE SHOULD’NT DRIVE YOU TO DOING SHIT TO ESCAPE THE REALITY YOUR LIVING IN. BASICALLY FOR EVERYONE UNDER 25 YEARS OLD LEARN HOW TO MANAGE YOUR MENTAL HEALTH IN THE MOST SAFEST WAY OTHER THAN DRINKING AND BLAZING. DON’T DESTROY YOURSELF! BE AROUND TO ENJOY A HEALTHY 50 TO 90 YEARS OLD AGE! IF YOU GO TO HARD YOU WILL LOSE THAT BATTLE AROUND YOUR MID 50’s OR EARLIER. WE NEED TO THINK ABOUT OUR KIDNEYS, LUNGS AND HEART AT A YOUNGER AGE. WE MUST TEACH OUR CHILDREN THIS AT A YOUNG AGE. WE HAVE TO GET BETTER AT CAPTURING THEIR ATTENTION VERY EARLY.

You, my Friend are alive in the best time of recent history.
Know why?
Because you are alive in a time with indoor plumbing, motorized transportation, "free love", and mass communication.
So, I'll take advantage of this last item to pass along some sage advice on the one topic we all think about: Money.
Here are the six things I've learned and promote:
1. Never spend more than you make, ever.
When I was 10, I started packing groceries at a local supermarket and delivering them to purchasers who lived the walk up tenements in my South Bronx neighborhood.Growing up as a "latchkey" kid of a working single mother, I had to earn money beyond my meager allowance. Minutes after earning my first buck, mom to walk with her to our local bank to open my first passbook savings account.
Sixty years later, priority one is still to put something aside from every paycheck and send out less than I bring in. Of course, life being what it is, it hasn’t always worked out that way. But in general, getting richer every month is as simple as spending less than you make and getting poorer is as simple as spending more than you make.
2. Avoid debt like the plague.
Most people treat debt as if it’s a normal part of life. They divide it into categories like “good debt” and “bad debt.” They discuss it endlessly, as if it’s some mathematical mystery.
Debt’s not complicated. Paying money to temporarily use other people’s makes you poorer. Charging money to temporarily let other people use yours makes you richer.
Since paying interest makes you poorer, you only do it two situations: first, when you have to in order to survive; second, when you’ll earn more on what you’re financing than what you’ll pay to finance it.
Unless borrowing is ultimately going to make you richer, don’t do it. If you find it unavoidable, keep track of your situation and work your way out of it with REGULAR, STEADY payments to minimize the amount you're out each month.
3. As an investor, buy when everyone is freaking out and sell when everyone thinks they can’t lose.
Rich people ring the register when the economy is booming, but that’s not when they created their wealth. You get richer by investing when nobody else will: when unemployment is high, the stock market is tanking, everybody’s freaking out, and there’s nothing but fear and misery on the horizon.
The cyclical nature of our economy all but ensures bad times will periodically occur, and human nature all but ensures that when bad times happen, most people will freeze like a deer in the headlights. But it’s downturns that are the time you’ve been saving for.
If you think the world is truly ending, buy canned food and a shotgun. If not, step up. As billionaire investor Warren Buffett famously advised, “Be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful.”
4. You can either look rich or be rich, but you probably won’t live long enough to accomplish both.
When I as worked as a US Postal Service manager, I was amazed at the number of craft employees who WEREN'T ling pay check to pay check. I learned that people who have tons of money most often don’t look like it. They don’t have to. So who are the big shots wearing the fancy suits and driving the "Beamers"? Often it’s the people who make a living with a "straight" job and a quiet sideline selling stuff to other people.
I remember the last time I wore a fancy suit, but I've learned you can be well turned out without buying Brooks Brothers, Schiaparelli, or any other fancy haberdasher a new mansion. I live in a house that’s worth about a third of what I could afford, and planning a budget to keep spending in check..
Diverting your investable cash into things like cars, clothing, vacations and houses you can’t afford will make you look rich now, but prevent you from actually becoming rich later. If you're like me: too dumb to hustle and too scared to steal, you will have to work. Remember, though, you never get rich working for money, you WILL get rich if you can put your money to work for YOU!
5. Live like you’ll die tomorrow, but invest like you’ll live forever.
You should always strive to get as much out of life as you can each and every day. After all, you could die tomorrow.
But here’s the thing: You probably won’t. Put something aside so you can continue soaking up what life has to offer for as long as possible.
6. There are only six LEGAL ways to get rich.
The only ways to get rich:
Marry money
Inherit money
Exploit a unique talent
Get exceedingly lucky
Either own or lead a successful business
Spend less than you make and invest your savings wisely over long periods of time.
Even as you’re aiming for any of the first five, practice the last one and you’re guaranteed to be rich eventually.
You need to keep these facts in your sights and focus your acts accordingly.
You won't regret it!
Sex
Written by Sean James

“SEX” Biblically is a passionate feeling that a man and a woman is supposed to share to express one another’s feelings, in a physical Aura .. I do believe that sex can be used as a tool, if dealing with the wrong individual, rather than being seen as a gift.. Therefore, in the wrong relationship, I believe that you have to feed sex with a long handled spoon, if not, the dangers can have your relationships foundation depending on sex, and losing the focus of the relationships foundation of “Unconditional Love”. Sex is a gift, but it can also be used as a manipulation tool, so there for we as men have to be very careful of what woman that we deal with intimately, also the women have to be careful of the men that they deal with intimately. Sex is deep, underneath the surface of how society views it.. Sex is a spiritual connection, so whether it’s man or woman, using sex as a manipulation tool, your playing with fire… Treat sex with a long handled spoon, there for you can always see, if a persons mental is only about sex, or unconditional love... Bless a woman with intimacy every now and then, never give them too much, as to where it changes there mental In to wanting a “Carnal Need”, instead of “A Gift”... Never cheat yourself out of unconditional love. Sex can’t be abused because the two involved will forget what they were in the relationship for in the first place. Is sex better than money???, is sex better than stability? Is sex, better than having peace?, is sex better than life???, sex is a gift to express love, not to manipulate or fall victim too… Sex is more used nowadays as a turn out manipulation control type of thing, whether it be on the woman’s side or the mans side, how can a relationship work, if the main priority is sex,,,, What about everything else that has to do with relationships, if sex is the focus then that’s not a relationship, treat it as such, but if a woman is spiritual, and understands,,, then keep her, because her focus is on having a life partner....

IT’S THE WEEKEND AND IT’S TIME TO EAT. IT’S COLD OUTSIDE PLUS THE WIND IS BLOWING. IT MAKES BEING INSIDE SO MUCH BETTER. THE SCENE IS A RESTAURANT AND IT’S HIBACHI STYLE. THE TIME IS APPROXIMATELY 7:30PM. IT’S ABOUT 4 LARGE TABLES THAT SEAT ANYWHERE UP TO 20 PEOPLE AROUND THE TABLE IN A SQUARE. THIS TABLE IS NOW OCCUPIED BY 4 FAMILIES. OUT OF THE 4 FAMILIES THERE WAS ONLY 1 MAN AT THE TABLE. THE REST OF THE PEOPLE WERE CHILDREN AND MOTHERS. IT TOOK ME BACK TO MY THOUGHTS OF HOW I REGULARLY SEE THE DISAPPEARANCE OF US MEN. WHERE THOSE FATHERS OR MEN ARE, I COULD NOT TELL YOU. THEY COULD POSSIBLY BE AT WORK OR AT HOME. THE SPECULATION COULD GO ON AND ON. IT WAS AT THIS TIME WHILE SITTING AT THE TABLE I THOUGHT ABOUT ALL THE OTHER TIMES I BEGAN TO NOTICE MORE AND MORE MEN ARE NOT PRESENT. SOME OF THOSE PLACES ARE SCHOOL FOR OUR CHILDREN’S PTA MEETING, EARLY MORNING GATHERINGS AT THE BUS STOP FOR NON DRIVERS WHO ARE IN ROUTE TO WORK, CHURCH, RESTAURANTS AND ON AND ON. WE ARE NOT PRESENT FOR GOOD AND BAD REASONS. THE GOOD REASONS ARE NOT WHAT I’M POINTING OUT. I FEEL THE REPERCUSSIONS OF THE MISTAKES WE MAKE SOMETIMES. I WILL NEVER KNOW WHY SOMEONE I HAVE NOT MET IS NOT PRESENT, BUT THIS DISAPPEARANCE OR ABSENCE OF THE MEN IN OUR REALITY IS VERY REAL.
THE FUTURE

Staying in touch with the younger generation is certainly needed to survive in the evolution of life. It’s important not to get stuck in your time (or the way things use to be). Sometimes in life we don’t really have time to stay engaged, because we are constantly working. Before I asked these questions, I answered them myself and compared my answers. Trying to understand your current age group or just people in general is a job within itself. We have so many tasks to complete each day we can miss assisting others with navigating life. Now is the time to assist as many people as possible because of the uncertainty of the future. 43 years of living in the D.M.V. and this is the only time where I feel I don’t know where we are headed as a nation. The future is in the wind. We must lead more now then ever before. My questions and his answers provide opportunities on so many levels for you the reader, Dorien and myself. One opportunity is creating an app for people to use since technology has replaced many of the physical actions we were doing. You may be thinking I should create an app and this may be the motivation you need to begin to do that. A second opportunity is for those of you seeking employment, this is proof that you should get out and apply for jobs by meeting these managers face to face. A third opportunity is showing a young man/women that he too can create his own ideas using the internet and transforming them into profit. Dorien = Future, Dorien = Leader, Dorien = Future, Dorien = Leader://MAGAZINE1976.com/HISTORYBY1976
-1976- Was it difficult to find your first job?
-DORIEN- Yes… it was difficult to find my first job. Many jobs accepted applications but it seemed as if they never looked at them, until I went into the current location of my job and spoke to someone face to face after applying.
***TIP FOR THOSE LOOKING FOR JOBS*** Go into to businesses and apply for employment. Get face to face with employers. Most of the time this is the best way to get hired!
-1976- Once you were hired did you find that people easily wanted to train and assist you?
-DORIEN- Yes… once I was hired it seemed that many people were actually open to helping me. No one really tried to take advantage of the new guy or anything of the sort. Mostly nice people with open arms.
***TIP*** BE MINDFUL OF THE PEOPLE WHO ARE TRAINING YOU AND OR PROVIDING KNOWLEDGE OF THE JOB YOU WERE HIRED FOR. MAKE SURE YOU ARE LEARNING THE CORRECT INFORMATION. YOU MAY FIND THAT SOME PEOPLE WILL TELL YOU THE WRONG INFORMATION FOR THEIR OWN PERSONAL AGENDAS.
-1976- Do you have doubts about the next generation (people who are younger than you) leaving this place better than it is?
-DORIEN- Yes, I have doubts about the younger generation. In today’s system and society the younger generations don’t have much to look up to besides athletes and Celebrities. It’s not one persons fault. Technology is constantly changing and the younger generation are taught to rely on that more than their own wits. Hopefully one day things will change.
-1976- What are you interested in the most?
-DORIEN- I’m most interested in finding ways to help me and the people around me. Anything that could help us go further in life whether it’s ways to make money or ways to better our selves. Taking nothing for granted I want us all to stride for a better future.
-1976- What are the three apps you use the most and which one is your favorite?
-DORIEN- The three apps I use the most are Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. On a daily basis I use these three apps. Not only as a way to pass time but also as a source of information and a way of networking with people I have yet to meet.
-1976- How do you meet the most people by physically seeing them or on social media?
-DORIEN- I meet most people by physically seeing them versus using social media. I’m still one of those people that prefer face to face conversations than texting or calling. Especially someone I’m meeting for the first time, you can’t always trust the internet or rely on it. It’s cool if you can text someone all day but could you hold a conversation face to face? That’s what I wonder about most people.

CULTURAL AND RURAL TRADITIONS

WE ONLY HAVE EACH OTHER! WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS WE STEP IN TO TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER. SOME OF OUR TRADITIONS HAVE DISAPPEARED DUE TO TIME AND OUR GENERATIONS NOT HOLDING ON TO “WHAT WE USED TO DO”.
LEAVING OUR DOORS OPEN AND UNLOCKED IS A THING OF THE PAST FOR ME. IT’S SO FUNNY HOW THE TIME IS NOT THE SAME EVERYWHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD. FOR EXAMPLE MY FIRST TRIP TO THE WEST COAST IN LA. IT WAS VERY DIFFERENT FROM THE D.M.V. BUT STRIP AWAY THE STYLE AND YOU HAVE THE SAME THING THE D.M.V. HAS. AFTER TALKING WITH MY GOOD FRIEND FELEKE HE EXPLAINED TO ME THAT IN THE RURAL AREA’S IN ETHIOPIA YOU WILL FIND TIL THIS VERY DAY THE COMMUNITY WILL COME TOGETHER AND PAY FOR THE FUNERAL OF A LOVED ONE WITHOUT BEING ASKED. IN ETHIOPIA IF YOU LOST A LOVE ONE, YOUR ONLY JOB WILL BE KEEPING YOURSELF TOGETHER DURING THE TOUGH TIMES. THE COMMUNITY WILL GATHER MONEY TO PAY FOR THE EXPENSES AND EVEN COMFORT YOU FOR APPROXIMATELY 40 DAYS. AS A SIGN OF RESPECT THE PERSON WHO LOST A LOVED ONE WILL INTENTIONALLY LIVE UNCOMFORTABLY TO SHOW A SIGN OF RESPECT FOR THE PERSON WHO PASSED AWAY. SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR IS ONE EXAMPLE. THE COMMUNITY WILL ALSO CONTINUE TO COLLECT MONEY FOR FUNERALS EVEN WHEN NO ONE HAS PASSED IN THE COMMUNITY TO MAKE SURE THIS TRADITION WILL CONTINUE ON.
THEIR COMMUNITY STANDS TOGETHER AND IT DOESN’T STOP WITH JUST FUNERALS. IF YOU ARE GATHERING YOUR CROP, BUILDING YOUR HOME AND OTHER VARIOUS JOBS THAT WILL REQUIRE ASSISTANCE FROM MULTIPLE PEOPLE, THE PEOPLE WILL COME TOGETHER AND GET THE JOB DONE. THEY HAVE A WORD SPELLED “DEBO” PRONOUNCED DABO THAT IS USED TO ASSEMBLE THE COMMUNITY TO TACKLE THE ISSUES. JUST ANOTHER QUICK INSIGHT ON THE ETHIOPIAN CULTURE.
MIXED MARRIAGE
Written by Terry
4/2/2020 4:02 p.m.
Fifty-two years ago, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled miscegenation laws--or laws preventing people of different "races" and ethnicities from getting married--unconstitutional. Decades later, "mixed" marriage is now the highest its ever been in the United States, up 14 percent compared to what it was in 1967 when the courts ruled in favor of Richard and Mildred loving, an interracial couple who were thrown in jail in Virginia for violating the state’s rules against multicultural love.
Only 3 percent of couples in the country had intermarried at the time of the ruling, but by 2015, 17 percent of newlyweds in the U.S. had a spouse from a different racial background, according to U.S. Census Bureau data reviewed by the Pew Research Center in a report released in 2017. The increase is the highest it’s ever been, with interracial marriages by black people nearly tripling from 5 percent to 18 percent since 1980. White newlyweds with spouses of a different ethnicity have also increased, from 4 percent to 11 percent since 1980.
"Zebra" (a derogatory term coined in the 60’s) marriages aren’t just up for black and white love birds. About three-in-10, or 29 percent, of Asian born newlyweds living in the U.S. entered an interracial marriage in 2015, according to the report. Of those marriages, 27 percent included spouses from Hispanic or Latino decent. As for American born Asians, 46 percent married someone from a different ethnicity in 2015 while 39 percent of American born Hispanics tied the knot with a person of a different ethnicity in 2015.
Personal views toward interracial relationships and marriage have changed even more dramatically in the U.S. A separate Pew survey recently found 39 percent of adults viewed intermarriage as a “good” thing for society, compared to just 24 percent who advocated for intermarriage in 2010. This is one of the many reasons why people like former President Obama spoke of a "post racial" America.
Attitudes toward mixed marriages have shifted even more drastically when considering American views on the matter back in 1990, when 63 percent of non-black adults said they would be completely or somewhat opposed to a family member marrying a black person. In 2015, only 14 percent of non-black adults surveyed said they wouldn’t agree with a relative marrying a black person.
Following the Civil War, many states, particularly ones located in the South, still had regulations that made it illegal for a white person to marry anyone other than a white person. Virginia law also prohibited residents from traveling to other states to avoid miscegenation laws, which is exactly what Richard Loving, a white man, and Mildred Loving, a black and Native American woman, did when they exchanged vows in Washington in 1958.
When the couple was found out by the local sheriff of Central Point, Virginia, where they lived, they chose to move to the country’s capital and later had three children. It wasn’t until they returned to Virginia for a visit in 1967 that they were imprisoned for engaging in an interracial marriage.
Their case made it all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, which unanimously ruled miscegenation laws violated the Constitution, most evidently the 14th Amendment. And on June 12, 1967, marriage across racial and ethnic lines was deemed federally legal in the U.S.
Some states took longer than others to adapt to the ruling. Alabama was the last state to completely lift bans against interracial marriage in 2000.
Ironically, however, at the dawn of the new millennium, we still find ourselves fighting the 400+ year old battle of inequitable treatment of "minorities" (euphemism for "Black" folks) in a nation where we seem headed back toward the dark past led by a President well known for pandering to the baser instincts of "White Resentment" of Affirmative Action and the upsurge in Back economic achievement even as the overall economic divide grows ever wider. But I digress.
Regardless of whatever temporary backsliding the far Right attempts to encourage, the genie is out of the bottle and American will be within the next 50 years (or sooner) be predominately "Tan" nation.
As a parent of three "Tan" adults I can only say "Richard and Mildred would be so proud! Love really can conquer all."
Even the bitterness of America's past sins.

Coronavirus
Mental Strength
The Coronavirus is breaking down routines, the way of survival, peoples lives, families, businesses, futures, mental health and plenty more. A friend of mine told me when I was going through a tough time he said you gotta be tough! Before he told me I was trying to handle my issue while trying to work. So, while I was doing that I did’t have anytime to think and analyze myself. It was the type of pain where your hurting mentally and physically while trying to maintain the most important tasks in your life with very little time to rest. It was no time to separate the issues from the reality. The type of pain where you could drink yourself to sleep everyday until the issue was no longer an issue. I’m talking working everyday and praying every chance you get to yourself….over and over and over again! If you had a issue that hit you hard is shit during your adult life and you could’t shake it because it never happened before and you were praying 24/7 to try and reverse it. Then yeah….you know what I mean! So…my friend said to me…. -1976- you gotta be tough man! That shit hit me like lightning strikes! It instantly put me in the GHOST mode! Handling Mutha#%!@*&$ business! Being mentally tough is mandatory….if your reality is hard! I was shook and those simple words put me back together!
Budget
While this uncertainty is occurring remember your car can go probably 22 miles on 1 gallon of gas, bananas you probably can get 6 for less than a dollar, potatoes are approximately 9o cents a pound and you can make 3 to 5 meals with 7 dollars just using pasta and some other vegetables. A gallon of water from the grocery store is cheaper than that liter from 7-11 or a 20 ounce water from a vending machine. You can survive off of a few pieces of fruit and by meats two days before they reach the best before day (that’s when they are at their cheapest price).
The virus is real and treat your reality like it’s never going to go away! So, keep washing your hands and using hand sanitizer all day long, avoid touching and leaning up against anything, clean more than your usual and eat more fruits and vegetables for starters. Better yet google the top 100 tips for surviving an emergency situation. Then start buying the list of things you will need week by week. Here are a few tips and ANGEL I know gave to me.
1. Drink lots of hot liquids; coffee, tea, soups & warm water.
2. Take a sip of warm water every 20 minutes. This keeps your mouth moist and washes any of the virus that has entered your mouth and pushes it into your stomach where the gastric juices will neutralize it before it can get to the lungs.
3. Gargle with an antiseptic in warm water such as salt, vinegar or lemon juice every day if possible.
4. The virus attaches itself to hair and clothes. Any detergent or soap kills it. Take a shower immediately when coming from outside and shampoo your hair.
5. Wash metallic surfaces. The virus can remain viable on this surface for up to 9 days. When not in your home, wear gloves if possible to avoid touching hand rails, door knobs etc. if you can t wear gloves or don't have any, wash your hands immediately and then shower.
6. Regardless if you have gone outside, wash your hands every 20 minutes with soap that foams and do it for 20 seconds.
7. Eat fruits and vegetables. Try to elevate your zinc levels.
8. Animals do NOT spread the virus to people. It’s a person to person transmission.
9. Try to avoid eating and drinking too many cold things.
10. If you feel a sore throat coming on, gargle with antiseptic immediately. Do it every hour. The virus enters through the throat where it remains for 3-4 days before it passes to the lungs.
Have plans for a plan, but make sure you have a plan first!

This is a tool we will need to learn regardless of whether you know anyone who uses sign language as their means of communicating. You never know when you may need to speak to someone for any reason who is deaf. Right now I don’t have much to say on learning sign language. For now try and learn the basics below!
